The speed of cooling roller table after rolling has a wide adjustment range, unlike continuous rolling, which is limited by coiling speed, and the flexibility of controlled rolling and controlled cooling is great, which provides convenient conditions for the variety development of hot rolled steel plate.
However, the hot rolled steel plate product is usually much larger than that of hot continuous rolling products, and the range of thickness is large. Controlling cooling requires more water and longer cooling time, and the cooling rate is much lower than that of hot continuous rolling products. These conditions make grain refinement of hot rolled steel plate more difficult than hot continuous rolling.
